my baby is 5 months old and it looks like he will be teething soon. he sucks and chews everything which comes in his hand like toys or rattles or my finger.
are soothers or teethers are safe for child to chew? will they help him durng teething?

Yes. Even with teeth, my son hasn't managed to break any of his open - and they're filled with water anyway. Just keep an eye out for wear on the plastic, and take them away when they start to look 'thin' and easy to break.

It really just depends... some babys like them and some babys dont...It is just what ever feels right to them and helps releive the pain the best....
my daughter (2yrs now) would only teeth on a cold damp wash cloth...(why? i have no clue but it was her favorite...) and my son (5 months too) likes the little stuffed animals with the teethers on the paws and feet..he hugs them real hard and chews on them and thats the only thing he will chew on...

Well, my daughter would never chew on teethers. She preferred chewing on a stuffed cotton doll. For older teething babies, frozen peas and frozen blueberries are great.

Yes they help. If you put it in the fridge.. it helps numb his little gums. I would check to see that they aren't made in China first! LOL
