I'm 27. With the Holidays comming up, the part I dread is seeing my extended family. My Dad's side is doable, the only issue there is little kids running everywhere but its alright.

My Mom's side is quite another story, It was ok when my Grandparents were alive but with them gone dealing with My Aunt's family is not easy. I think there full of themselves and I'm pretty much invisible to them. i know I'll get nothing out of going. I get ignored pretty much, I could give a rip about sports and thats all they talk about.

my 2nd option is my friends family, I like them but my friend and his mother get into a fight everytime. Too much drama.

My 3rd choice is, saying screw it and spending a quiet day @ home.

What would you do?

i would go to my dads, since you said it was do able, and then I would go home for a nice quiet evening .

You could try going to your friends as well,,when you get together if an argument starts, just speak your piece and remind them that it is the holidays..
they might not even realise that they get into an argument every holiday.
its no fun spending the holidays alone

Have your own Thanksgiving at home. Who needs that much drama during the holidays. I'm doing exactly that and spending a quiet one at home with my own family. Have a Happy Turkey Day whichever one you choose!!!

Just tell your family that you have to work, and enjoy the day at home if you do not want to deal with the drama.

particular it somewhat is. there is not any regulation requiring you pass to thanksgiving dinner! i've got began skipping christmas those previous few years, and while my kinfolk asks why I only say "through fact i choose for to". That way it does not start up stupid drama.
