Doesn't freak me out - just dislike it (lots!!).
Like they're animals (the pets not the owners) not humans they don't need clothes.
Well ... I did meet a cockatoo (australian parrot) once who needed his woolen jumper cause he was so old his feathers had fallen out!!
he used to be my friend's grandfather's and as far as anyone could work out was about 120 years old!
He used to call all dogs Bruce (cockatoos can talk- particularly the males - which is the exact opposite of humans - isn't it MP??) cause the first dog he met was called Bruce!!! Now you can't tell me that isn't smart.
Ooops - I digress - where was I Oh yes ....
short answer YES!!!

In today's world, it'd take a lot more than that to freak me out.
I put a coat on my puppies AND on my Pit Bull, in the winter. Small dogs get cold, just like we do .. and Pit Bulls can't handle cold weather like most big dogs can. If they're cold, I dress them appropriately ... so they don't' get cold. I'm not going to let my dogs suffer, because some people don't like to see animals with clothing on. :)

No, actually I think it's cute when people do that.
Just as long as they don't get too carried away with it.
I saw a dog once that was being pushed in a stroller and was wearing a baby's bonnet and a great big diaper.
A little too weird for me!

yess!! it's creepy. going through the rose gardens the other day these asian people had this tiny, really furry dog wearing a knitted cardigan thing in the middle of the day and it must have been about 26degrees (celsius) I felt so sorry for the dog. Imagine if giants kept us for pets and then stripped us and made us wear giant banana skins...imagine!!

Not really, though the only time i've ever dressed a pet is when my cat was in the last days of his life, he was skinny, losing fur and it was winter so i bought him a little jumper to keep him warm.

No. Each of my lil house doggies have their own lil winter sweaters. It gets cold down here in Louisiana!! They gotta go pee....they gotta put their coats on. If I knew lil doggie ear muffs would stay on their lil heads, they'd have those too!!!
I am about to buy the lil doggie shoes so their lil paws don't get too cold peeing outside..
I know, I'm pathetic! But I love my babies!!!

It depends on what clothing item it is. If its too much then the owner should just not put it on his/her dog.

Only if they do it in a mushy way. We had a dog that got cold in the snow...so we put a sweater on him. But people who put jackets on their dogs to make them "cute" are scary.
