Ever since they moved my wide-screen in from the rental store, we ain't never got the dang door back on yet! Shoot!

No-one has got this quite right yet. We leave the back-doors open so that potential thieves can see that the trailer is either empty, carrying things which cannot be stolen without a fork-lift, or which are of no value to opportunist thieves. Thieves will not steal pallets full of paving-stones from a truck parked in a lay-by, but they will certainly slice the curtain open to check the trailer contents if the rear-doors are closed. Thieves want easily handled, high-value consumer goods such as deoderants/perfumes, electrical goods and things which they can move on quickly. Light, high value things can be removed quickly without making a noise and disturbing the driver. It is for this reason that high-value, easily stolen loads tend to be parked in secure places, and not at the side of the road.

Nah, the doors don't shut all the way closed. It would be pointless to lock them.

we'uns cant afford no fancy-shmancy keys so we just leave our big 'ol hound-dog in the trailer all day. I t sorta' smells after he done been doin' his bidness in thar all day but our neighbor-folk ain't stole nuttin'.
