SEC fans I'm sure-which statistically are 80% idiots-yes, that does mean 8 out of 10 of you according to my math are the ones talking crap. You play in a conference with KENTUCKY? A basketball school? And what about that poser Florida team that was ranked in the top 2 this year for what, 6 days? Who was that? Southern Central Florida School Of Nursing? Didn't they knock off one of your SEC powerhouses? Oh so soon we forget where the SEC was in 2002 when OSU beat Miami for the title...or the USC wins. What about Texas? One person posts a question about comparing the history of OSU and LSU to see who has a richer football tradition...give me a break. OSU loses and still SEC fans talk, why? Where is your almighty Florida ranked? Perhaps not LSU-but I do think Illinois-I'd say this 2 weeks prior to their win over OSU is capable of beating your SEC teams. I mean if you lose to Kentucky...or Central Baptist Florida or whoever they are-you can lose to Illinois. WHY is the SEC overhyped?

Chayna-your stats are false...first off how is the BIG 10 1-1 in BCS National Titles games when Michigan and OSU both won titles...those are alot of Championship games you listed under BCS considering it hasn't been around that long.

That sounded like a drunken rant if I have ever seen one. The sec is about as = to the big ten in recent history as any two conferences can be( same record head to head in bowl games over the last ten years, the sec might have a slight edge as far as national championships (3-2) but very similar in BCS records. Only an idiot would call the big ten a crappy conference(they are down this year, but look at what they lost over the last two, two head coaches died, several other coaches left, a bunch of 3 year starters at QB graduated last year, so on and so on. All conferences have their down years, and this is the big tens.)
That is my drunken rant.

In BCS National Championships
SEC 3 - 0
Pac-10 1 - 1
Big 10 1 - 1
Big 12 2 - 3
ACC 1 - 2
Big East 1 - 2

For All bowl Games
SEC 9 - 4
Pac-10 7 - 4
Big East 5 - 4
Big Ten 8 - 7
Big 12 5 - 7
ACC 1 - 8
MWC 1 - 0
WAC 1 - 0
Independent 0 - 3

Your living in the past dude...
and it will likely be several decades before OSU beats an SEC team in a Bowl game (as they have yet to 0-8 I believe)

Edit:
This only includes the BCS bowl games not the Sucky ones at the bottom of the pack (top 10 teams only).

Add on:
Dumb@55
Count the wins or the losses they add up to 9 years...

Clearly the most over hyped : YOU
Where were you seeking to go with your post, it starts at the very shallow end of" Foolish Lake," meanders down "Nonsense stream", flows into "Stupid River" then to the "Gulf of Ignorance" and then after we have all greatly suffered finally the end at the "Idiot Ocean"
Fans of NCAAF come in all types, and sizes and demeanors, and each and all are passionate about their team, and usually the conference that it plays in, and in the US of A you are accorded that right under the "Bill of Rights", and even you are allowed you diatrabe, regardless how utterly devoid of even one iota of logic.
Oh yes, one last point OH IO.

Answer me this has a major conference ever had its champion beaten by a division 1AA school, what will that say about the little 10 when Michigan wins over the over rated slow OSU black eyes.

Sorry, but it's not overhyped and the Big Ten is still a joke (as it was last year).
