It's not the length that bothers me the most. It's the fact that people aren't using paragraphs---just writing one long post with no breaks in them. I skip reading those that are like that.

No more than 2 or 3 lines of info, if it takes too long to read, I could have just opened an encyclopedia

I don't know. I kind of like the long posts, if they make sense. Some people type so badly you'd think that they were walking on the keyboard.

well it depends, I wouldn't read a long post put in just one paragraph but if it's separated into small paragraphs I would read it(depends on the title too)

Depends if the subject is something I want to hear about. I have tried to shorten my posts, but it is difficult when the information is lengthy but pertinent.

YES! too much is too much. If you have a catchy starting line, it may catch others attention, but for the most part, simple is best.
