My sister thinks they still exist (very few, though). Do you think so?

=/

And don't be sarcastic.

The probability that thylacines still exist in the wild in Tasmania is low. There have been no confirmed sightings for over 70 years, the last one died in captivity in 1936. It is possible but highly improbable that an animal that size could maintain a breeding population for 70 years without a confirmed sighting or a body being found - and there are a lot of people looking for them. Thylacines died out on the mainland 3000 years ago. The possibility of thylacines still being alive there is extremely remote. No sightings or evidence for 3000 years spells extinct in my book.

I don't know. I don't think they would be around anymore but I like to think so. I wish I could have seen one in real life it is such a shame that the tazzy devils are following the road to extinction as well from that horrible cancer. I wish something could be done to bring the the tigers back but the cloning doesn't seem to be doing much good.

No, they are all extinct.

But scientists are currently trying to clone the first living example of a Tasmanian Tiger.

They are gone. But their are preserved fetus of them. Science will one day be able to clone them with the Tasmanian Devil, and create living Tiger's.

What is your sister basing this on? There will always be rumors about their existence, but no fact.

I highly doubt it. If they do, they found a great place to hide.
