it's actually for my hw. i want to know what people think so i could write about it.

I don't like it either. It's too loud and acidic for my taste. I prefer jazz and mainly instrumentals. Guitar is my favorite. I like Oscar Lopez and Govi.

I love rock and metal music. It's the best!!! I listen to it on the way to work, home from work...all the time. If I'm having a bad day I crank it up. If I'm having a good day I crank it up. There is nothing like listening to the drums and the bass. I blasted DevilDriver today and it just puts me at ease and in a good mood. I find rock and metal music to be relaxing. To each his own, but rock and metal always work for me.

Nope. It's usually great music unless it's hair metal sell-out crap or for me, death metal (I don't really like the vocals, but that's just me). Oh, and thrash metal that's at the speed of say Slayer usually doesn't do much for me.

Depends on what type of metal...if it's the Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, AC/DC...it's normally great music. If it's the satanic "brutal" death metal and black metal, then yes...it's pathetic.
Power metal, progressive metal, heavy metal, thrash metal, gothic metal, symphonic metal, melodic death metal...some of the better genres of metal to look at.

i have never heard heavy metal rock for mysellf, however, i think this type of music doesn't suit me very well. BUT this is only my opinion. Each person have different interests.
