it does not defeat it, however ignorance does not give way to reason or logic. they normally like being ignorant and will stand fast for no other reason than that they can.

Never does it defeat intelligence! It only appears that way! Intelligence definitely wins over because: knowing is the best way to grow in life while ignorance is entropy!

It doesn't. It may appear to, in the same way that a wrecking ball may appear to be strength. But intelligence wins out every time

Intelligence is awareness, and awareness can limit your confidence. "Thinking realistically" can be good, but it also limits the ability to conquer. Columbus would have never left the European shore if he would have been intelligent and thought realistically.
