I think the SEC is a tougher conference. They have a ton of teams that will be bowl eligible. Compare the ranked teams (at the time of the game) that LSU played and the ranked teams Ohio State played. This year and last year would be great examples because both teams did well. Traditionally, both schools are good football schools but you might want to look at past championships and Heisman candidates and winners. They are pretty evenly matched, so a debate would probably be sparked by love of the team or conference.

I totally disagree with Lukes statement. In the past it may have been true but over the last 10 years, the Big 10 has had 5 or so different Champions. OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Penn St(theres may have been a little over 10 years ago), Northwestern.
SEC fans point at "ranked" opponents then trash the rankings for having Big 10 ranked higher... that is havin cake and eatin it to.
Truth is over all the conferences are pretty even. So both teams have same difficulty to get out on top.
Both have all but 1 team bowl eligible this year.
Recent history between the conferences last year Big 10 vs SEC 2-1, last 5 years 8-6 and Last decade 13-13.
Pretty close with slight edge to Big 10.
Non conference records are similar against similar institutions.

Top to bottom, the SEC has better competition within conference. The Big Ten is really just the Big 2 and the Little 8. The toughest thing to do is to make it out of the SEC without a loss, that's why Les Miles will leave Death Valley for Michigan. It's just easier to get to BCS title game in a weak Big 10 and I wouldn't blame him at all.

What exactly are you debating, and what side are you on? OSU is better heads up(1-0-1) LSU is higher ranked this year(and deservedly so, same record, but tougher schedule, earlier loss) OSU has more National Championships, but LSU has the most recent, so on and so on.

Well first pick a side...

You should do Tradition
All time records
Recent History
Past games between the two (1-0-1 Ohio)

Check Wikipedia for some good info on the two teams. It is somewhat general, but you are not likely to find non-bias information comparing the two teams anywhere so you will have to do that yourself. The best way to win a debate is find all of the opposing sides best points and shine a light on them that makes your side seem better.

LSU, LSU, LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!!! Yep, I actual think of LSU will win. they are gonna get healthful, and that i think of they could cope with Ohio State quite plenty. it will possibly be a real close pastime nonetheless, because of the fact it type of sounds like LSU can in no way particularly blow all of us out.

Are you talking about this year, or historically? Let's not forget that LSU hasn't been a contender until relatively recent years...OSU has a longer tradition (and it's hard for me to say that, since I hate them).
