Someone sent me an e-mail (Hotmail) which apparently arrived in my inbox about 4 years later. The date on the message was 4 years before I received it, and the last time I wrote to or heard from the sender was at that time. How could this happen?

hmm, it's possible that their computer clock is 4 years old. Probably not though. I'm stumped

a variety of things can effect how long it takes. think of of a automobile adventure from Manchester to London on a sparkling highway you will do it in approximately 2 a million/2 hours. If there is congestion approximately 4 or greater hours. that's the comparable with networks - congestion, latency, line velocity blah blah. yet many times in a rely of seconds

It can happen, but more than 24 hours is completely outside my experience.
