I know you said Just yes or no, but... lol
I have been to several games, and I love it. The people, the noise, the excitement is fantastic.
But, I feel I can follow the game alot better while watching it on tv. When I'm at the games, I'm watching one end, something happens at the other end, penalties are called and at times I have no clue as to why because I wasn't looking that way lol my nosebleed seats (the only ones I can afford or get with a family of 4 - we all like hockey) arent exactly the best seating. So, my couch does the job just fine :)

Yes, yes, yes! There is nothing more exciting than experiencing a good, competitive hockey game live!
The only benefit to watching a game on TV is instant replay - but in most cases, at hockey games - they also show replays on a jumbotron.
It's exciting to be at the game among your fellow fans and cheering and screaming your head off. Other perks:
- you can purchase souveniers at the game;
- you don't have to sit through commercials;
- you can check out the arena during intermission...
You can drink beer and eat food at home or at the game so it can go either way....and you must drive to the game if you're watching live - but that adds to the excitement and anticipation of going to the game! Just don't drink & drive...
