Okay. I am only 12 years old. Dont spaz cause im on yahoo, i just want a couple serious answers.
First, The ghost thing.
Okay. so 2 years ago, my dad died. About 5 minutes ago, i was reading answers in the paranormal section, and my dog was just standing in front of the door, wagging his tail, looking into the hall of the apartment building through a crack in the door. My mom went in the hall, and called for my dog to come. He just wouldnt come into the hall. He was still wagging his tail, but he would not go out of the apartment. I dont know if this is linked with my dad, i dont really know, but can someone just try and give an explanation?
Okay. Now the psychic thing.
I believe all humans have a part of their mind they have not gained control of yet. I, however can notice this sence in myself. I can see stuff in my sleep, just short little maybe 5 second flashes of time, and a week later, usually it happens. I get a sence that i have been in the situation just a while earlier.

Wow! I remember launching a complaint against the public librarian who tried to direct to me to the children's section when I asked about looking up the actual history behind the story of Dracula (I was 10 years old at the time).
I can't imagine what my reaction would be (though it would involve anger and despair at the stupidity of others) if at 12 years old I was told to not try to learn about something I was interested in but to go play with my toys.
That said please allow me to provide you with some actual sources of information. The first link is to a biologist named Rupert Sheldrake that has a book called "Animals that Know When Their Owners are Coming Home" among his other works exploring the abilities of animals.
The next link is to a book by Graham Watkins concerning ghosts. This man actually carried animals to a reportedly haunted location and got positive results with their reactions to a haunted room versus a room where nothing was reported.
The next link is to the Para psychological Association the professional scientific organization for the study of parapsychology and an elected affiliated of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (link below) since 1969. I list it because they have links to online games/experiments that will allow you test your psychic ability.
There are two sites (both links below) that will allow you to record your dreams for evidence that you dreamed it happening before it happened.
Finally there is a parapsychology page written for the public at large. (link below)

1.) Animals do a number of different things that don't readily make sense. Unfortunately they don't speak English, so it's impossible to know exactly what the dog is thinking. There are *many* explanations that don't require supernatural or paranormal events to take place. Chances are he's just being quirky, as animals sometimes are, and you are making a connection that may not be there.
2.) What makes you think there is a part of the mind people haven't gained control of yet? What I mean is, what evidence or data are you basing this assertion on?
Many things happen when we sleep. The brain is operating without the normal controls, so it's a bit like a wild water hose that no one is holding on to. You dream of a lot of things when you sleep. If something happens that is similar to what you have dreamed about then you remember the dream (possibly inaccurately), but what about all of the dreams that don't come true? There is a subjective way of thinking called "confirmation bias" that is a bit like selective memory. For example, it seems like every time you look at a digital clock it's 11:11 or 1:23 (or some other significant number). The fact is you see 11:11 no more often than you see 3:58 or 5:12, you are just more likely to remember it.
Are you familiar with the term "deja vu"? It's when you're in a situation that seems very familiar. It is just a glitch in the brain where you are remembering something just as it happens.
Please don't get into the habit of looking for supernatural and paranormal explanations for things. You will get into the habit of losing any sort of intellectual rigor and fall back on magical thinking to make sense of the world around you.

I don't think there is a specific something that causes you to see ghosts or whatever. Depending on what you believe, it could just be random. I think it has to do with how spiritually open you are. Do you believe in ghosts, spirits, psychic abilities, ect? I believe that ghosts and spirits have to have high energy levels to manifest themselves to be seen. I think they also have to be in the presence of some who has an open mind to the spiritual world. As for psychic abilities, I don't really believe in psychics and such. I mean I think that some people are able to 'feel' spirits better than others, but I think it has to do with them being open to paranormal phenomenon. Hope this helps!

You're 12 YEARS OLD !!!!! GO PLAY BALL !!!! Don't get involved in all this stuff. I know you miss your dad.Maybe it was him...maybe not. Maybe there was something in the wall (a bug or a rat) that your dog heard. Maybe somebody or an animal was outside.. You need to wait until you're older to get involved in things like this. Don't miss your childhood and all the experiences your dad would have wanted you to have. The more you pay attention to these things...the more they will happen..or you will THINK they're happening. Maybe someone on here can explain what's going on with your dreams. I just had a dream that I was at work and could see but couldn't open my eyelids. That's a weird dream to me...but I'm not going to play around with it trying to find out what it means. I need good sleep. I know I'll get a lot of "thumbs down" for this. I just hate to see you spend time on this when you need to be having fun experiences in life. And if you talk a lot about this in public...people might think you're a weirdo...or even put you on medication. You can find out about these things when you get older. If you're supposed to be a psychic or whatever...then it will be there after you get to be an adult and have finished school. But , on the other hand...if things keep happening to you and you need some understanding...come here and ask questions. You'll get a variety of opinions...not just one answer. If I were your mother ...I'd tell you to "Do your homework...and get your mind off the paranormal. "

about your dad, don't get your hopes up it could be anything
about the psychic thing
you could be I used to only see things in dreams on occasion
then I got older and developed into being able to see visions during any time of the day usually warnings tho
now I can read peoples minds, if you're talking about someone I've never met, seen or heard of I can give you a description of what they look like
I can see what people are wearing over the phone and my boyfriend and I don't verbalize half our conversations (even before we started dating)
it all depends on how much you have and how you try to develop it when I was your age I was about as strong as you are I'm now 19 not fully grown and still have room to improve I'm already a very good person to have on the hunting team soon I'm determined to be a deadly force
I've got telepathy and psychic abilities and I'm trying to work on pyrokenesis
for the record.. to get as strong as I am you have to pretty much live it eat it sleep it and breathe it
it's a bit of a lifestyle but it's my biggest interest a major hobby and I'm trying to figure out how to make it my life work

Dude, losing your dad at 10 years old had to be really rough. Sorry to hear about that. Okay, I read your account, and I know and love dogs, so my reaction to this is that your dog was just following his natural senses. His reaction probably isn't connected with anything paranormal.
Now, about the psychic thing. I remember when I was your age I really tried hard to develop telekinesis. I remember focusing for what seemed like hours on small objects, trying to get them to move. Also I tried having out of body experiences, after a somewhat off-beat substitute teacher in my 6th grade class decided to ditch the books one day and teach us all about her astral adventures. Now that I'm older, I don't try it anymore. But I'm not going to tell you not to. You should experience things for yourself. Like Zachary already said, give it a try, have fun with it, see what happens. But also learn about science as well, because when something seemingly strange happens, what's the best way to try to figure out what's going on? Yeah, it's the deductive methods that you would use as a scientist. What about when nothing happens? How do you explain that? Again, get familiar with how scientists investigate the world. It will help you sort things out.
Have fun.

Ok you want a real answer? here is what you need to do. Get unattached from your computer. Get some friends over and do something. join a club. Play basketball. Do your homework. Dont worry about being psychic, or ghosts. Dont worry about applying occams razor to anything. Enjoy your imagination while it last because in todays world, your not allowed to have one for very long. Your gonna get a wild amount of answers here from people who dont always think like a kid. Your 12 years old so go out and act like one. This stuff will always be there to check into later on. I wouldnt worry too much about your dreams or the dogs, mine bark at anything that makes a noise so theres nothing weird about that.

When I was 12 years old I wondered about the same types of things.Keep asking questions and looking for explanations. If someone here tells you ghosts are real and you're possibly a psychic.Go ahead and believe it if you want. When you're 12 there's no need to limit your imagination.Just keep checking in with yourself every once in awhile.See if maybe something else doesn't explain things better. In the meantime have some fun with it.

Having a trained dog isn’t the same as having a balanced dog, but if your dog knows a few basic commands, it can be helpful when tackling problem behaviors — existing ones or those that may develop in the future. Learn here https://tr.im/chP70
So where do you start with dog obedience training? You could take a class, but it’s not necessary; you can do it yourself. In fact, with the right attitude, it can be fun for both you and your dog!
Step 1 : Sit
This is one of the easiest dog obedience commands to teach, so it’s a good one to start with.
• Hold a treat close to your dog’s nose.
• Move your hand up, allowing his head to follow the treat and causing his bottom to lower.
• Once he’s in sitting position, say “Sit,” give him the treat, and share affection.
Repeat this sequence a few times every day until your dog has it mastered. Then ask your dog to sit before mealtime, when leaving for walks, and during other situations where you’d like him calm and seated.
Step 2 : Come
This command can help keep a dog out of trouble, bringing him back to you if you lose grip on the leash or accidentally leave the front door open.
• Put a leash and collar on your dog.
• Go down to his level and say, “Come,” while gently pulling on the leash.
• When he gets to you, reward him with affection and a treat.
Once he’s mastered it with the leash, remove it — and practice the command in a safe, enclosed area.
Step 3 : Down
This can be one of the more difficult commands in dog obedience training. Why? Because the position is a submissive posture. You can help by keeping training positive and relaxed, particularly with fearful or anxious dogs.
• Find a particularly good smelling treat, and hold it in your closed fist.
• Hold your hand up to your dog’s snout. When he sniffs it, move your hand to the floor, so he follows.
• Then slide your hand along the ground in front of him to encourage his body to follow his head.
• Once he’s in the down position, say “Down,” give him the treat, and share affection.
Repeat it every day. If your dog tries to sit up or lunges toward your hand, say “No” and take your hand away. Don’t push him into a down position, and encourage every step your dog takes toward the right position. After all, he’s working hard to figure it out!

I am not sure why you are connecting your dogs behavior with your dad unless you are sensing him as well. It would be nice and I am sure that your dad is around you a lot of the time. Your intuition is another thing.... sounds like you are developing some nice skills., See if you can get into a group where they can help you hone in on your skills. Good Luck.
