1) He is not a coach. It's an elective class on technology.
He uses the h-word/d-word quite fluently, I must say, when he is angry. Is this right?

Yes, but teachers are supposed to set an example, and they tell us language like that is not acceptable.

Absolutely NOT. Tell your parents and make sure your parents tell the school principal. It is not appropriate.

ok, first and maximum suitable, your mom's boyfriend has NO organisation spanking your bare backside!!!! and that's a actuality! If it keeps tell your instructor or counselor in college. it is so incorrect in maximum of approaches. As for the cussing, end it. i'm the right age to be your grandmother and the worst I say is crud and snap. For a 13 twelve months old to no longer cuss shows adulthood and there are a number of words interior the English language which you mustn't ought to apply the same 6-8 cuss words. Don''t you have somewhat sister? How embarrassing might or no longer this is to take her someplace, (church?) and her use a cuss word she heard you assert. Yikes! do no longer do it reason your pals do. no longer something sadder than a follower. and that i'm severe approximately that guy busting your bare butt. tell!

Does this mean you expect this behavior from coaches but not other teachers? That makes it look like there's a double standard about "cussing."

Usually when people use these words, it is either a bad habit or it's considered acceptable in their circle of acquaintences or professionals. They may have words they think are acceptable profanities like the h-word and the d-word while other words will never be spoken. Among some cultures, it is very common to use profanity while other cultures would be outraged with its use.

I imagine your teacher is inexperienced with teaching and classroom management. He probably isn't even aware of his bad speech habits. However, you are right to think that it is not right. He's just out of control.

Well, think about something honestly. When you walk down the hall, do u hear things worse than the "h" word. I know i did when i was 13, but maybe i had a bad school. Anyway if hes one of the few cussers than no, but if most of the kids cuss then its no problem

I would privately talk with the teacher and tell him that you find the words he uses offensive. And he should not be using them. However, be sure your language is perfect before you push it too far. He who lives in a glass house should not throw rocks.

no it is not right and your teacher needs to be told about it. i would tell my parents and have them contact the school to address this problem....even a coach for ball games or other activities do not have the right to curse at the students or in front of the students. if a student did that they would be in detention in a fast minute..no double standard just because they are a adult. a adult should not have a anger management problem that makes students feel uncomfortable..please tell your parents and tell your classmates to do so also......

It may not be "right," but as i remember, at the age of 13 students have the capacity to handle that kind of language, and foul language could be much worse

I do know some parents that have problems with that

He should not curse at any student or use bad language that any student can hear. He should be setting an example. That is called professionalism

H and D are very mild. In general, I object to teachers swearing in from of kids.

It happened to us sometimes, as we wre growing up - on looking back, tho, I think we gave them reason - we wern't bad kids - but we were sometimes rude and insensitive in ways we didn't really realize - thinking we were mature when we still had a way to go.

I've heard two of my teachers swear, one of whom I hate. They shouldn't direct it at you, however if it isn't directed at a student then you might have to get used to it.
