A triangle. Reason being triangle is basic to square, rectangle, quadrangle , pentagon, sexton. etc. U can draw all these in plan.By the way I'm a civil engineer and in giving lay out on ground I trust triangle for accuracy. On paper certain things appear very simple, say giving lay out of building plan measuring 12.0 M x 80 M. It has various rooms. The first requirement is 90 degree angle at corner and accurate dimensions. It's very difficult when U use tape. The tape has to be level when taking measurements. As to be close to 100 % accuracy I trust triangle and that remains my favored shape.
