Of course. It will be hard though. I've played the violin for nine years now and at first, it was difficult. Now I just enjoy it. It is sort of like learning a foreign language especially when you've never read music before. You'll have to work for it, take lessons, and practice. After a year, you still probably won't sound too great - even two or three depending on your dedication. But when you get it you'll probably never lose it. And there are constantly new things to learn with the violin also. It's a wonderful instrument.

Its possible, but it would probably be easier to learn the instruments one at a time. They key in learning to play an instrument is practice, practice, practice..so with other things going on in your life, you may not have enough time to practice like you need to for each instrument. So, just make sure you make time to practice both if you choose to learn both at the same time and you should be good! Good luck! =]

Of course, I don't see any obstacles to play two different instruments at once - certainly if you have predisposition. 7 years ago, I've been learning play the guitar and drums at once...but now, only istrument that I play is guitar :) Guitar for me is much better than drums, because of physical condition ;)
Do your best! C ya!

Of course. Considering they are two very different instruments, it's like learning two completely different skills almost like singing opera and singing rock and roll. However, you do need to learn to read music for both of them, so learning both instruments will probably help you with this.

Yeah, I play trumpet and am learning the ukelele. I have a friend who plays six instruments, and manages a recording studio.

Yes, most school bands have a percussion group...they have to learn all the percussion instruments which is more than just beating a drum.

Just make sure to take the time to practice both instruments.

My younger daughter plays the cello and can also play the guitar. She says that once you've mastered one instrument, it's easier to learn to play other instruments.
