My sister's husband has a really cool family and I enjoy hanging out with them. They have referred to me as their brother in law. I was just wondering what others thought.

yea its all good man, feel free to refer to them as your in-laws as you please(although if they're as cool as you say, it wont matter)

Technically, they are not your in-laws (except her husband) however, you can still hang out with them.

There really is no legal benefit to them being in-laws anyway, and they are family in a way. I hang out with my brother's in-laws, and my husband's brother's in-laws. But I don't hang out with my sisters (or my other brother) because we aren't as close. It is all up to you.

It's really cool that your brother-in-law's family likes you so much they consider you family. But technically, you are not really brother-in-law to anyone in the family except your sister's husband.

Sure if their good in-laws take them too.
But if they stink, no.
