The only places I can think of would be Forest Park or the Arch grounds. They have little ponds (as long as there not froze;)) that the photographer might be able to get some good reflections. If you and your fiance have a favorite old time building or just a favorite place in general, go there and take pictures. Or if the place you two met is nearby, get some pictures there. You also might be able to get some outside pictures at the church. Walk around the church (a day or so before your wedding) and see if the stone work catches your attention or if there is any greenery or shrubs around. You two might freeze being outside but if it means the perfect picture, you can do it. Have fun and I hope you get the pictures you want!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just a thought, as it will be 5pm and dark as you mentioned, this might rule out some of the 'park' stuff, such as Forest Park, Tower Grove Park, Laumeier (the sculpture place mentioned above). I kind of think the Jewel Box in Forest Park would be closed by this time. There is a 'neat' indoor fountain at the Ameristar Casino in St.Charles. While in the St.Charles area, main street has that old (1700's era) historic charm. Near St.Charles is Earth City, and there is a Dave and Busters Restaurant (I don't know if you or your future spouse like arcade games, and don't know if the place would allow photos, but might want to consider this.)
Being around 270/Manchester area, there is the Westfield Shopping Mall, which might make for some interesting pictures...around Kirkwood area, there's the historic train station (outside looks great, might be a little cold standing for a few pictures though). Down Kirkwood Road, is the Magic House (again don't know what policies and hours they would have), Grant's Farm would be closed for the season, so that won't help you out. There are a few reception halls on Telegraph, I know one of them had a gazbo with flowers around it, that would make a nice couple of pictures. I know it's your wedding day and it's very special, but if nothing else, shoot some 'real' photos at the church and then go to a place like Hooters (South County) or Growler's Pub (Sunset Hills), or another bar/pub and take some pictures in those places and have fun with it.

You would have to check the hours but you could stop at the Jewel Box in Forest Park or the Climatron in Mo Botanical Garden for some great inside photos. Why not talk to the photographer about taking the pictures before the ceremony so you could get them during daylight? No one says they have to follow the wedding.

Forest Park would be beautiful, but that's kind of out of the way. The Art park place off of Watson might be nice also. Not exactly sure what it is called, but you take 44 to Watson and make that first right and it's down that way. Other than those two, I'm not sure.

I'm thinking I would call 4 or 5 photo shops in the Yellow Pages and #1 tell them your shopping around for the best deal. This might make taking pictures in the dark in 10 below temp's (just a bit) more attractive. And... you know they are going want a HUGE TIP for working in hazardous conditions (ha-ha).
P.S. As a former cab driver in that area, I pray to God you are not getting married on a Monday thru Friday....TRAFFIC-TRAFFIC !!!!!
Best of Luck (and here's a hug to both of yah !)
