In our school system, here's how the school system works:
Elementary K-3
Higher Elementary 4-6 (AUGH!!)
Jr./Sr. High School - 7-12
I'm in 6th grade. WHy do I have to be stuck with the little 4th graders???!!!!? We have the same stupid rules as them, we have to stand in a line siently in the halls, and nobody respects us, or treats us our age!! Isn't that ridiculous!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!????!?!!!!!!!!!!!!??????!?!?!?!?!?!

The age difference from Grade 4 to Grade 6 is not that bad. You'll be away from them in a few months, so just deal with it.
My school was K-9. So you don't get any sympathy from me. Imagine being 14/15 in the same school with 5/6 year olds. Not fun.

When I went to school we had first through 6th grade in the same building. 7 and 8 were Jr. High and 8-12 were High School. That makes more sense to me.
I agree that you might want to talk to a teacher about your idea.

Your not even a teenager yet no offense but I think 6 graders belong in elementary. You are older then 4th graders but think how you feel when your a senior and go to the same school as 7th graders, some seniors will be adults yet they are not treated as such. Suck it up it isn't that bad, enjoy elementary school while you still got it.

It is not possible to have a separate school for every grade or even for just a few grades. You will be going to the Jr/Sr High School in a few months. The disport between a 7th grader and a senior is much more than you have now.
Be patient.

Opinion:
Realistically...being in the 6th grade doesn't really give you any voting power to make any sweeping changes at your school system. You get to do that when you get older. You're getting aggravated over things that you cannot change. Out of the entire school system there...the only person expending a serious amount of useless energy on this issue trying to push a brick wall over is you.
For me, junior high at my school and the other schools nearby were 7 and 8th grades.
You can keep being aggravated at this and bang on that brick wall...not sure anyone at the school can hear it though.
Lastly...no one hands you respect. You earn it.

John,
Don't you think that the 12th graders think about the 7th graders that way? While that is an unusual way to set up grades, I hate to be the one to break it to you but deal with it. You will have much more freedom next August. So right now, bite the bullet. If you are that upset, go talk to the student council and ask them to speak to the principal about each grade having their own set of rules. Be proactive.

Not really. My school decided, just for the heck of it, to move some of the fourth and fifth grade classes to the middle of the high school block. I (being in 10th grade) was not very amused. Don't worry, next year you'll get to move on. (while I'll be stuck with elementary for the next two years) And remember, once upon a time you were in fourth grade, too, so don't be too hard on them. =)

Hey sweet thing......right now you are top dog on the campus. ENJOY IT>
Next year you will be the low dog. And you will still have a bunch of stupid rules to follow.
Stop your whinning and get on with a better attitude and enjoy what you are give. There are some countries when you would not be allowed in school.

I hate the same system, but K-6th grade was all in one school. We had to walk silently in line, too. I envy my friends now, who went to schools where 6th grade was part of middle school. You'll live, don't worry. I hated 6th grade.
