Age is just a number until you're reaching generational gaps. My father was 9 years older than my mother. I married a man 22 1/2 years my senior; it was a travesty. My friend Jimmy is brilliant. He told me once, "I'd never date an older woman again. I've dated plenty and there's always something really f'd up with them." That said, I'm 33. I'd NEVER date a younger man. Not even if he looked like Tom Berenger... I'd simply have nothing in common with them. Most people require a certain level of connection with another person and these are also on many levels, themselves. I just can't imagine that I could connect with someone younger than my own age. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend is also 33 and is the youngest person I've ever dated. granted, you occasionally find someone who's older and EXTREMELY immature and someone who's younger who's EXTREMELY mature, but with this you also open up another world of headache, considering maturity levels. I'd personally proceed with caution.

Age doesn't always matter. It depends on the difference and if you are on the same level mentally. Also being a man I know some men who would have a problem with that depending on age. It's about inferiority. It's hard to answer this question with out more details.

I'm three years older than my husband (maybe not the age difference you were looking for). We've been married for 8 years, and together for 11 (happily, too). Age doesn't matter if you're at the same maturity level.

Its possible like anything else but I am 18 yrs older than my wife and we have a fantastic relationship ..It is ALL about the relationship and when you think about it, with so many divorces I dont think most of them are due to a few years age difference either way

I don't think the age does matter that much. As long as the age difference isn't like twenty years.

I think age matters, there is a cut off @ 10 years difference for me. I think more than 10 is to much, different generation, different music, different intrests. He... could be your child!!!!
However, give it a try it propably is nice to have a young girlfriend or young boyfriend for a while!!!! until they discover how boring the older one is !!!!
Good luck.

that certainly depends on how much difference in age and what ages you currently are.
