I am asking this question because I am doing biology homework! I am trying to find out the role the chromosomes play in the call. I need some help like now and before 11:00pm

Chromosomes have the code or the recipe for how to build the cell's proteins. Then the proteins handle all of the cell's activities.

Chromosomes contain the genetic trait of the cell. In order for the cell to produce proteins, the genetic information in chromosomes have to read and translated.
