because the glue's that are made are for a certain material..i am a wood craftsman and i buy elmers glue, sticky glue, and gorilla glue..all these are for spusific purposes and they DO NOT stick to non wood materials...or paper products..the gorilla glue will for a while on some metals..none of these stick to glassware or porceline..and none stick to any plastic or rubber..when air gets to these glues they will harden or set, but they can be easily removed, depending on the surface, plus the gorilla glue is the only one of the three glues i mentioned that can stand up to water and some pressure..the others are strictly for crafts...that is also why they dont stick to the containers they come in...i would assume if the lids are kept off for a long period the glue will harden in those containers...how was that ???

Because all the ends would fall off -If mirrors need light to work, what happens if you put night vision goggles on in the dark and look at a mirror? Air doesnt get into the bottle and thus the drying process is drastically slowed down. Try opening the bottle and leaving it, and u will see it sticking to the inside of the bottle eventually.

if you're talking about uhu glue or superglue, the inside is covered with a special substance, so they won't stick that easily, and besides, it needs to be exposed to air to dry out. that's why you shouldn't leave your tube of glue open when not in use.

bc it doesn't stick till it dries. the bottle keeps it from drying up. It if gets old and does dry, then it does stick to the inside.
