so...i currently have a 128 RAM and a AMD K7 processor 600MHz. I am about to get a 2 gb ram and an AMD X2 Dual Core, but im not changing the motherboard as it is too expensive and all the parts fit my current motherboard. My question is, by adding this will i be able to play games like san andreas on my pc??? also i have a 256 Nvidia video card, so by adding this, will my pc be able to play games like need for speed carbon??? oh and do i have to reinstall my OS Windows????????

You said you'll not change motherboard?Explain to me please how you will install an AMD dual core on a A/462 socket!
You have to do some homework before you buy.

The parts have enough spec for the performance you want, a 256 card must be a good one to begin with.

Mobo is not expensive, $100 could get you a good decent one, but AMD K7 and X2 might not even match without mobo change so I am telling you that. That translates into reinstall Windows too.

That is quite a big upgrade for your motherboard, are you 100% sure everything is compatible? You will not have to reinstall windows unless you are already having problems with your current OS. From what you described it seems like you should be able to play most of the new pc games out but not at their max graphic settings. If the gaming experience is not to your liking after this upgrade then think about getting a better video card, after that you should be set for awhile.

As the first user said, there is no way to install all this to your existing motherboard. AMD k7 uses socket 462 and ram banks wich are now obsolete.

nicely the fee of the device on my own isn't based only on the RAM however the completed device as an entire. What does the motherboard furnish with regard to the bus speeds? what's the computing power of the processor? What I often do relying on the sport in recommendations is to a minimum of double if no longer triple the processor standards that the sport asks for yet to a minimum of circulate 3X's the quantity of cautioned RAM or come close to to the optimum the device can cope with. you will no longer continuously see this transformation some a number of the needs or courses and in others you will see a great replace. good luck.

You failed to mention the model of your video card apart of Nvidia and that it has 256.

GTA is not a graphic intensive game, so I didn't see any problem running it on your new PC.

NFS Carbon on the other hand is pretty intensive, if you want to try, set the graphic options to low and see how it goes.

NO, you don't need to reinstall OS.
