YES -- I know this for a FACT since I was a Long Term Single Parent and RAISED my TWO Children myself -- including having to ENDURE their High School Years (their Hormonal Rages, their Lies, their Selfish/me and only me ATTITUDES, the Anger Attacks, the sneaking around, the defiance, the disrespect for me as a parent, the lack of work ethic, etc etc etc!)
And you know what -- when you make wrong choices ... eventually it COMES BACK on you, and you WILL have to pay the price (and yes, my Adult Child did make wrong choices, which they are now paying the price for).
And the DRAMA -- Stupid, pointless, and really, really NOT worth it in the end.

Not when I was going it wasn't. Don't know how it is now. Back then, the only "drama" (as you kids call it) was which band rocked harder, Deep Purple or Zeppelin.
Has high school really changed much since 1972?

Always. But stick with the right people and you can usually avoid it. Most of the time.
