I'd have to say Abraham Lincoln for the same things you said. He seemed from history to have been a very admirable and honest man(Honest Abe) I really can't say to much about any of the other Presidents except for maybe Nixon and Reagan. Nixon of course had water gate but he also started the China trade and communications going. I think it all started going down hill when Clinton became President. He did away with a lot of Military bases all over. I'm for a strong military President. So, I guess both Bushes have been. I just don't like the way the economy and the high gas prices are coming a long.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
I agree with you up to a point. I feel Lee Harvey Oswald was a scape goat. He saw who killed JFK. Jack Ruby was a member of the Mafia in Dallas and was hired to ensure Oswald never spoke. My younger brother and sister were born on November 22, 1959.
I feel had JFK not been assassinated, we would be in a lot better shape today. Nam never would have happened.
JFK cut taxes, rare for a Democrat.

Not only are you a history fanatic, but some of your facts are wrong. Specifically Lincoln bringing the nation back together. There was still Reconstruction to go through, and since Boothe killed Lincoln before his plan to reunite the country could be put into effect, Lincoln did not bring the country back together.
As for my favorite president: Theodore Roosevelt.
for two reasons: The Panama Canal, and National Parks.

JFK was a good man. He would've made a great leader.
My favorite president was Bill Clinton, because he was open-minded and he listened to why someone disagreed with him. I also love Abraham Lincoln because he freed the slaves. Teddy Roosevelt helped America get back on its feet after a horrible depression. He cared about the environment, so he set up national parks in the Midwest. I think George Washington, however, was America's best president.

William Henry Harrison. Not a single president before or after him has done less damage to the country while in office.
