Right handed implies positive handling , that is when you turn a screw right side it goes in and in. After few turnings the screw disappears in to the hole made for the screw.
Left handed screw means, when you turn with a screw driver, if left turned, it will loosen the screw and slowly brings out or withdrawn form the location.
So depending upon the situation one has to be both handed and act according to the purpose.
