I have tried to reinstall the drivers and check my connections. The printer is an HP Photosmart D7300 and has worked well for the past year. This is a recent development, and none of my equipment has been moved or tampered with. I am using an OSX application when I print.

I'd normally say to reinstall the drivers and set up the printer again - but it sounds like you did that already. Were they fresh updates from the HP site? Check the link below for your model. Did you restart? That is usually a requirement after reinstalling the drivers, but the installers don't enforce it.

The next thing to try is to go into Printer Setup Utility and go to the Printer Setup Utility menu and select Reset Printing System.

Also check for if you have done any recent system updates. There have been problems with OS 10.4.10 and some printer and scanner drivers.

Good luck!

Did you download the original drivers for your HP from HPs site. Possibly it may be something to do with Apples' updates. When did the printer stop printing properly?

Have you checked for recent printer driver updates?

I have the Intel iMac and don't have any problems printing to my HP 1315

Perhaps, you are using latest Mac OS X Leopard. If so, your equipment are outdated and Leopard cannot support them.

Perhaps, your printer do have problems. You need to send it back for repair.

Otherwise, send Mac back for repair. Some hardware problems may be.
