Silver, sorry you felt that way. You must be a very sensitive person. Why so sad Silver?

I find Tom Hanks to be a wonderful actor, and his roll in movies like forest gump and terminal, show his wonderful talent. yes the movie has some really sad issues, some humor, and great lessons to be learned. There is nothing wrong with being saddened by the movie, and depending on what they were laughing at, if they were laughing at the obviously slow or challenged roll of forest, then they obviously have no respect for the people who really face these challenges. There is nothing funny about a mentally challenged person. but the movie it's self has very funny parts. and the Principal part, for his schooling I laughed me a s s off to!!

Wow,
No, not at all.....(I thought that part (what the mother did to get her son in school) was a great example of maternal sacrifice, and it was sad, really sad. I watched it with my son...we were both affected. No, definitely not pathetic, human, sensitive, honest, and able to disclose about yourself to others? That's brave, even if it is just on the internet.
Thanks for a thought provoking question, not just more drivel!

I don't know about pathetic, but it may seem a little overly sensitive to some. It is kinda sad, but if you would have stayed to watch the whole movie, I wonder if you would still feel the same.

elvis learning the gyration from forest......now that was funny stuff. but there was some real good emotional drama, too. great movie.

No one is making fun of Forest....sum total of the movie is that he had more character than most people, including those blessed with fully functioning faculties. It was a story of dealing with and overcoming adversity. And funny, too.

Sorry but thats pretty pathetic. I mean its not happening to you. If anything witnessing someone's hard times can only make you a stronger or at least wiser person.

nope, that's not pathetic at all.
it just shows how sensitive you aree towards the subject. which is a good thing, it's rude for people to make fun of others. so what you did is respectable.
