we obviously dont have as many drugs here. we live in a small town in australia and i'd never heard that cartel meant 'drug cartel' before and Van is my bestfriends fathers name.
Meaning:
God is gracious.

Personally, they sound cold to me. Those names don't really have any meaning or history.

Cartel...like a drug cartel? Van works for a middle name, maybe?

I couldn't find the Name Cartel anywhere, the closest is Carter.

I dont like either but I'd say Van would work as a middle name instead. There is a difference to being unique and to be setting your child up for being teased.

I don't like either one of them. . .

Van - like a minivan (something you drive) - the kids will make cracks on him.

Cartel - - like the drug cartel??

but that is just me... i like unique names - but not those two.

Dont worry about what ppl think of your baby name. If I did I would be in shambles...lol. I let my fiance pick the name and he chose Ari (sounds like Ar-ee).

I think they are both pretty uncommon names, which is a good thing. Just think of all the possibilities of someone making fun of the name and how well the middle name will fit.

I personally like Van.

Agrre with what others have said minivan and drug cartel, however we hear don't have to like or be happy with the names, you do and your kids have to live with them.

It's your choice and shouldn't really matter what we think.

One is a passenger vehicle, the other a drug dealing network. Can't lose with those choices. ;)

Don't listen to what other people say, choose the name you think is best for your child.
