I'd try to teach him some small things, like names and colors when he gets a little bit older. See if he/she picks up on them.
But for now, if your baby is easily contented, and understands what Mommy does and what Daddy does, and who they are, they are very intelligent!

Well first off stop trying to teach your kid to walk so early, that stupid think you do about holding him up and trying to get him to walk has been proven that generally speaking the motor skills learn from crawling is important and depriving him of that is hindering his/her intelligence. also, all young kids learn quick when young so teach them whatever you want and theyll learn it eventually lol.
