3x/a
2/n

You kind of have to take each variable separately. In the first question, 9/3 = 3, a/a^2 = 1/a, x^2/x = x. Combine it all together, it's 3x/a.

9ax² / 3a²x

9ax² divided by 3a²x = 3
[the ax² cancel and 9 over 3 is 3]

14m²n / 7m²n²

14m²n divided by 7m²n² = 2/n
[the m² cancel]
[the n from the top cancels wit one at the bottom think of n² as n x n or two n's]
[14/7 is 2]
[the whole number always stays at the top and then there is a remaining n at the bottomso its 2/n

hope this helped
