I do not using antivirus and firewall tools, perhaps not even install them. See I consider them not very useful tools. Practice Safe Internetting is like practice Safe Sex, I have not used any of such tools in a decade except I downloaded Service Pack 2 recently, disconnect yourself from Internet by yanking the cable away when not in use.

the first is to upgrade the processor
the second is to upgrade the ram
the third is to do a clean install of whatever operating system you have
the fourth, if you play video games, upgrade graphics card
the fifth, get antivirus
the sixth, use system restore
the seventh, use that pc pitstop thing
the eighth, get a new pc
