I have a hard time holding a fragrance all day, too. What I do to keep the fragrance longer is saturate a cotton ball with the scent and tuck it in the front of my bra. LIkewise, a few drops on a very small flesh-colored bandaid or "dot" placed behind the knees and/or at the elbows and the inside the hairline at the back of the head. Parfum (perfume) lasts longer than cologne; cologne lasts longer than eau de toilette (toilette water).

Pulse points
Perfume should be sprayed on the pulse points. There are five pulse points: the insides of the wrists, the insides of the elbows or the crook of the arms, the insides of the knees, the nape of the neck and just behind the ears. Unless you want to smell overwhelmingly potent, don't spray strong perfume on all the pulse points. Only do so if you are wearing a very mild perfume. Ideally, don't always spray perfume on the same pulse points every time. If you spray perfume on your wrists for example, spray them on the crook of your arms another time, and on the inside of your knees and the nape of your neck a third time. Though perfume is certainly not proven to harm your skin in any way unless you have an allergy, it is best to play safe

Apply a matching moisturizer or something unscented before applying perfume. Perfume lasts much longer on moisturized skin, than dry skin. Also, spraying perfume where your body mostly gets warm will help extend the fragrance, so spray on your wrists, behind ears, chest, and behind your knees. Try to purchase a perfume that says Eau de Parfum, instead of the watered down version called Eau de Toilette.

I always put it on my ankles, because apparently the scent rises. Then I spray a little onto each wrist. Only if I'm wearing a weaker scented perfume do I put it on my neck--because I can't stand the smell all day. It gives me a headache. SO yeahh. =]

the best thing to do is get a body lotion that's the same kind of smell as your perfume and then spray on perfume because body lotion keeps the smell on longer.
