I work at this restaurant, and I've known so many women who were managers that were total idiots. Most become serious queen divas, or get so stressed that they make everyone's job harder. I went to school and was taught everyone is equal and all that, but it's just not true. Women are bad leaders. Either they are incompetent or they go on serious ego trips. Even the worst, laziest boss I've had that was a man was more reliable than the best woman.
I'm a co-manager at the restaurant now, but the manager above me is a woman and she's seriously hurting the place. The owner just doesn't see it yet. It's the second of a franchise, and the other one has a male manager that I feel more comfortable with as a leader. I feel like I'm cleaning up this chick's mistakes one after the other at the other one.

To the last chick that made fun of me for working in a restaurant, sorry, I have a degree, and it's hard to find a good job right now in Michigan. I'm doing what I can right now, if your daddy can hook me up with a "real" job like he did for you, I'd appreciate it!

first element, union workers pay cost isn't $seventy 4 in line with hour. That discern are accounted with trip and extra time, which extra time can end at each time. the staff makes around $28 on the main. I worked all my existence in a union production unit. They do the speaking (negotations) for me and that i've got no longer any problem with that because of the fact I continuously ended up in greater helpful advantages and pay. As for strikes, its no longer exciting yet I continuously got here out forward interior the long-term and made up the money I lost stunning. many people in no way been in a union who knocks them. those people have no precise to speak undesirable approximately them.

because you have problems with this one does not mean all women are lousy leaders/managers. The ones I have worked for were better then all the men I've worked for put together. I just quit a job after 2 years of cleaning up after the male general manager.

Sounds like you can't handle a woman giving orders. There are many effective women leaders and managers.
In world politics, I can cite Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir and Indira Ghandi. In business, there are presently Meg Whitman of eBay, and Ann Mulcahy has done a good job turning Xerox around. Just a few examples...

You're making a blanket assumption about women based on the minuscule experience you've had at your work. Some of the best leaders/managers I've known have been women, and some of the worst have been men.

i am not going to attack you like many of the others who have responded to your question. instead, i will make a couple of points based on years of observation in the work world.
first, women in general tend to be more sensitive than men. with this in mind, you can surely understand that their desire not to hurt people could make them want to avoid conflict, will often lead them to troubles in management.
second, men often have an inferiority complex to women in power. they feel threatened by these women, and in response to this, they do not respond accordingly, undermining and sabotaging a manager. in this sense, it is not necessarily the manager, but the employee who is bad.
their can be many arguements going towards women as bad managers or men as bad employees. as someone else said, i too have seen some excellent, hard working, fair, non-egotistical women managers. often, their compassion makes them easier to work with than men. On the other hand, i have seen some bad ones too! You shouldn't generalize based on a few experiences.

If you went to public school, you were taught wrong. A lot of today's women are confused about their femininity. On one hand, their told to perform like a man, and then, celebrate being a woman. Even if their bad, you can't fire them, we see how, "women's lib," has really, " helped" women. It should have been left alone, it would have worked out anyway. One more thing destroying this country.

First of all, you're working at a restaurant. You answered your own question.
Secondly, it's obvious you feel inferior because YOUR boss is a woman, so you're taking it out on her by making derogatory statements about women. My suggestion: Get a degree and get a REAL job. Leave the restaurant/convenience store/McDonald's jobs for high school and college kids.

oh really!!?? why are most women going high up the success ladder then?? A lot of us are not only blazing our way to the top, we also have children and our families to take care of while doing so! Do not generalize women just because of one person.
