Heather: Have you read Ron Paul's actual positions on abortion or marriage. They aren't what liberals like to imply they are. He believes abortion is a state issue (and therefore his personal opposition to it is irrelevant) and he believes that marriage is a church issue (and therefore, government shouldn't be involved in it). If his position on those issues were adopted, abortion would be legal outside of the Deep South (I doubt even 30% of a Blue State would vote to ban abortion) and marriage would be none of the government's business at any level (and therefore, gay marriage could exist, even if some people may not recognize gay marriages). His views on the social issues aren't even close to what liberals who have a simplistic view of those issues wish to portray them as.

while Obama attempts to con the persons by ability of cooked up numbers to make his case and the Congressional budget workplace exhibits the actual numbers, that's amazingly frightening the point of spending Obama and his Demobots have become away with. As a % of GDP the spending ranks suited up there with Zimbabwe and different excellent economies. "Federal outlays will bounce in economic 2009 to $4 trillion, or 27.7% of GDP, from $3 trillion or 21% of GDP in 2008, and 20% in 2007. that's bigger as a proportion of the financial equipment than any year on account that 1945, while the country replaced into nonetheless mobilized for international war II. that's greater spending by ability of far than throughout the Vietnam war, or throughout the recessions of 1974-seventy 5 or 1981-80 two."

When I clicked on the source in your link I read that they polled, "302 Republicans in New Hampshire."
New Hampshire allows Independents to also vote in the primaries, and I'm willing to bet that the Good Doctor Paul is pulling a whole lot more in that bunch than any other Repub. Due to his attraction from independents, He will win the nomination without ever polling above 10%.
EDIT: To the poster below mine, he not against those issues. He is against the Federal Government dictating morality to everyone. He wants to remove the jurisdiction of the Federal Government over morality, and give it to the states and local government. One size does NOT fit all. If you don't like a particular morality law, you can move, and still be an American.

And the 8% is among Republicans. His real strength is among independents. There will be a lot more acceptance as people begin to hear his message. Mainstream media have been able to ignore him, which left only the Internet, the one free medium available to get his message out.
Dr. Paul is now buying radio and TV ads. People who are not connected to the Internet will now get to hear him. That should generate more money to buy more ads.
Ron Paul's message of peace, prosperity and freedom are more appealing than the war, deficit.bankruptcy and dictatorship the others are pushing.
Ron Paul in 2008.

Who knows. There are too many people that think they know what he is about when they really don't. Seems like the only ones around me that don't like him are the class idiots in my life anyways! Go Ron! Thank you for fighting for my true freedoms and liberties!
