I give stars for the more original questions, when the asker "thinks outside the box," and the ones that me make smile, for whatever reason. Also when I can tell that the asker put a real effort into phrasing their question. That adds up to a lot of stars, and sometimes I star questions that have been resolved. But I don't get many stars for my questions, so maybe I'm missing the purpose...

Well, i rarely star questions. i starred one last night, though, because it made me laugh, as well as many of the answers that were given to it! i did not answer it, just starred it.

If it is funny, I'll star. If its idiotic I'll star so My contacts could see how stupid this dude is. I'll star is a person is asking a really good question, So my contacts could answer it also

If a question is very interesting to me, I'll make it a stare question.

If I'm interested in going back to see what the other responses are. I mostly use it to check recipe requests than I'd like to have myself.

I find it interesting or just because I feel generous. Sometimes if someone asks for one I will, but not always.

I do it only if I find something interesting or just to see how many thumbs-up I get when I answer something ridiculous.
