How do you extend the duration on ebay before it expires?

You can't extend it once a bid has been placed. If no bids have been placed and there are more than 12 hours to go, you can extend it (if it was a 7 day listing and you extend for 3 more days, you'll be charged the additional fee).

Click on 'edit your listing' and follow the steps until you get to the part where you pick the duration.

I didn't know you could, but I would imagine that if it is possible it would have to be done more than 12 hours before the close of the auction. I don't believe they allow you to make any changes inside the 12 hour mark...
