Yahoo is an Internet Portal- not Zorro. If you're going to do something illegal, don't use your Yahoo account. Also, don't use an account that your name is attached to, and especially don't use it from your home computer. Unfortunately, these guys were going to get caught anyway- Yahoo or no Yahoo. Civil Disobedience comes with a price, otherwise nobody would care.

And as for morality- they "donated" a great deal of money to the two journalists in a way that allowed the Chinese Government to save face- by settling a lawsuit that wouldn't have stood up in court.

But if you're that upset with the company- boycott the site. Please?

I'm with you, Mohan ~ a shameful episode. Yahoo should stick up for freedom of speech, the right to privacy, and human rights generally. The whole enterprise is built on freedom of speech.

I agree but even the USA gets info to spy on people from yahoo.
We need to change the laws. Or just change them back to where they should have stayed before Bush.
