Terrorists attacked New York because it was a symbol of the United States which was recognized by the world. What better than to bring down America!! Fanatics from any culture are willing to sacrifice their lives for a cause whether real or imaginary. The Muslim teachings are based on peace.The fanatics have interpeted the Koran to their own liking.Their objective is turmoil.

Yes, we did. We spread our ideas around the world. They get mad about that, like democracy, or Christianity, as they are Islamic (though I cant see why we cant just get along) And, when we created the Isreal state after WWII (which I agree with, though the Middle East doesn't so much) we took land out of their countries to do so. That got them mad, and it wasn't just us who did that, which explains the other attacks.
They also don't like the spread of American Industry, such as McDonalds invading other nations or Wal-Mart doing the same...

This is what got them mad at us, and if we didn't go around sticking our nose in other peoples business, the world would be a better place.
