Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I honestly don't know. I'm not even quite sure when B.C. changed into A.D.

In BC you count backwards. So year 399 comes after year 400, etc. Therefore, 400 years after 400BC is now 1AD. then add the current year, 2007. So 2407.

It depends on your religous beliefs, but really B.C. ended at 0, and A.D. started, different meanings are established by your beliefs on what B.C. and A.D. stand for, it is confusing.

Actually the answer is not that simple, because there is no year nought in the BC/AD system. The website below has some interesting observations:
