The F-16 has not been retired by the USAF and will continue to serve past 2025 and onward. The older models have been removed from service having exceeded the life expectancy of their airframes. While the F-35 is slated to replace it's front line duties, given the cost, design flaws and various performance issues associated with the fighter and political squabbles I predict they'll never build more than 300-400 out of the supposed 2,000+ they aimed for. Every time they test this new plane, there's another disaster uncovered regarding it's design or performance or issues with subcontractors. By 400 airplanes, they'll be so embarrassed they'll abandon of the program or at least one branch will cancel it's orders. International customers will drop out, international customers have dropped out of the F-35 program. For all the money, you could for a fraction of the price, overhaul or order new F-16's. Dollar for dollar they're the best fighters in the world which says a lot coming from a lot of competitors, particularly the Gripen JAS 39 which I love, the Typhoon, the F-16.

I think that they were all destroyed. I dont think that if there is a grave yard that they would tell anyone. They dont want folks going down there and stealing parts and selling them to our enemies.
