Please treat "treats" as the less anthropomophic verb synonym "considers", if it in any misleads anyone into thinking that I really think of the concept &/or system of capitalism as a living being with anthropomorphic characteristics. I was only trying to be provocative to get to the absence of and the inability of the system to incorporate quantified(sic) ethical values.

Capitalism, or at least economics assumes people have a basic code of ethics, requiring honesty and only entering into agreements with informed consent by all parties. Most people are also altruistic but when they are interacting with strangers in the marketplace it seldom effects how they behave,. A system based on the reality as it exist, works better than one that makes unrealistic assumptions about behavior. The government has difficulty even enforcing honesty.

All human beings are ingesting machines. through fact we consistently consume. We consume air, food, beverage, source, emotion, time, and so on. it somewhat is right to p.c. out guy as a shopper. lifeless commodity besides the undeniable fact that, isn't a capitalist fee. Capitalism is loose marketplace. It recognizes that human beings are actually not commodities through fact human beings very own and commerce commodity freely as their very own possession. definite, the further you pass right into a capitalist society, particularly a Western one, employer will become an increasing style of emphasized and human beings de-emphasized, besides the undeniable fact that on the backside of the line persons are nonetheless working the employer, persons are nonetheless paying for and merchandising the products and human beings nonetheless 'very own'. the only element i will concede is interior the form slavery is worked right into a capitalist equipment, then they grow to be commodities. it somewhat is besides the undeniable fact that, no longer a in basic terms Capitalist element and it is not honest to argue. Please only keep in mind one element in case you disagree with each thing else i've got mentioned. Capitalism is loose marketplace. it somewhat is government coverage that de-emphasises human existence. government coverage you spot, is what governs the direction capitalism takes.

Well, one of the disadvantages of capitalism is overspending; spending more income than we actually need, getting loans, feeling richer while not being so, and charging our credit cards. Capitalism has the tendency to create artificial needs. Needs that are actualyy not needed and the consumer/human being seems unable to resist becuase of fashion trends and low prices in combination with high quality. Humans are being brainwashed and that is something we need to accept as consumers. So when you are in the position of the consumer in capitalism you are the victim but when you are the seller, you are the predator! As for the word amoral, i think that this is another huge topic. The only think I have to say is that consumer both sides, consumer and seller ones, should make efforts to improve reliability in purchases and productions respectively.

Why ascribe anthropomorphic qualities to an abstract system of organization of economic activities?

I would say both neither true nor false but simply fallacious. Might as well ask if the sun treats people as objects to be roasted :)

Yes, and so does the concept of every other economic system. Economics is the study of production, and... not how people feel and their emotions. People's feelings would be Psychology, and morals would be Ethics.

Capitalism helps people satisfy whatever desires and goals they set for themselves. Capitalism does not dictate tastes, that's the job of schools, mass media and religion.
