I like adding atmosphere for fill which isn't fluffy.

Don't add unecessarry :"fluff!" Damn, I ALWAYS end up cutting what *I* think is the best parts of the story.....I HATE that!
If you're on a roll, go with it, but be prepared to cut away... Go night-night....proof-read in the morning...I'm inexperienced as a writer, but I can "write" well over 2000 words per day without ever putting "pen to paper!" Quality counts! G'Night!

Just enjoy your writing.

As for the outline, I can't tell you anything without reading what you wrote. Maybe it is the right way. Why don't you go ahead and re-read it later. You can always add or slow down your plot later.

Okay. Step off the project and write a bio for one of your characters. Or do a set-up with a minor character (1st pov vacation, day at work, etc). This way you won't get distracted but can get some of that energy out w/o letting the piece get ahead of where you want it.
