With an MBA from an Ivy League university, you would surmise that he would understand quite a bit about fiscal responsibility, or at least considerably more than the common man. I am not sure his utter lack of fiscal responsibility is the result of ignorance, as much as it is a result of not caring.

This is far more of a caustic indictment. After all, one can forgive ignorance, one cannot forgive callous disregard for your fellow man. Bush is willing to spend money on frivolous wars, while reducing the very source of that war funding – our tax system – because he doesn’t have to get the bill. The American people are the ones left holding the tab, while Bush and his cronies capitalize off of our misguided efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I wish I could forgive Bush by just chalking up all these blunders to ignorance. Being the President, Bush is privy to too much information to be ignorant that what he is doing is ultimately destructive to our economy. He has advisors that have confronted him about this fact, and he has critics, who on a daily basis, lambaste him for it. Bush simply cannot claim ignorance for the economic shambles he will lead this country into. No, his actions can all be attributable to sheer self-serving aims.

Borrow and spend. "Daddy gave me my first Master Card in high school".

"If it's used to kill people, it's fiscally responsible."

"I'm vetoing this health bill because sick children getting help is fiscally irresponsible."
