Stars all the way! I consider it a complement to my question asking skill or lack thereof maybe. But it's just nice to know some thought my question was worth sharing. It's a thrill I can't describe. ERRRROOF!
But then again what about the thrill to compete & move up that does it for me too!

I like other peoples ie my contacts stars because they do all the donkey work for me and find the more interesting, amusing or outrageous questions for me, but it also reforms my faith in answers actually being a worthwhile place to hang out! Stars on my questions I can take or leave as really they don't mean anything to me. Thumbs up again I rank along side stars as they are a way of being positive about a question or an answer. However thumbs down I have a bit of a beef with as to me it is something arbitary and often there is no logic or thought behind it. It is not as though the person 'thumbs downs' and explains why they have done it. Often I will answer a question and not really be offensive and get thumbs downs and I'll think 'why?'
Best answer is quite a nice thing as it shows some sort of recognition of you answering that questions and the asker liking your answer. I'm not a real points 'ho' so that part of it is neither here nor there for me. It's just nice to have some sort of brief, positive inter action with someone!

They all give me a "high." I am not all that bright in the first place and when someone appreciates my question with a star, WOW! When someone indicates they understand my answer and agree with it by giving a thumbs up, that is GREAT! When I get a best answer, I feel that my brain ain't broke and sometimes I am able to make a nice contribution. And, isn't that what this is all about? Contributing?

I guess cause i;m a good person but when you get on my bad side you stay there till you can show differently.If people are cruel on here especially to kids; i love to rip them a new @sshole ..I am a single parent ' and i;m trying to raise my son; to be all that he can be; but whatever he decides to do in life; will be a OK with me.....,.when i get a star a thumbs up or best answer it always makes me feel great ; but the best answer really makes me get happy; as happiness is few' and far in between., Peace

Stars and thumbs up are equally nice in that they are an affirmation. But best answer is better because it means that the cycle is complete- someone has reached out, I have reached back and they have answered. ( But what really gives me a high is when I get a personal email thanking me for an answer.)

I love getting a lot of thumbs up, like 6+. It gives me the high. Stars are okay but I prefer answers over stars. as far as best answer its strait, but as long as I get a bunch of thumbs up. best answer means one person like it . but thumbs up can show everyone that liked it.
