wich culture makes the best rice?

It depends what type of rice you like. I love Afghan Rice. Its not sticky like Japanese and not spicy like Indian. It's just perfect!! (They call plain rice Chalow, But they have different types of rice such as rice with raisins and carrots, rice with orange peels and almonds and rice with spinach) (afghan is asian)

I would say asia. My family always use to say the fluffy rice was best (I never really cared for rice when I was growing up) A few years ago I started dating a guy from Korea and he turned me on to sticky rice, it is one of my favorite foods.

Japanese.........for sure.
I buy Jasmine Rice at the regular grocery store and it is my favorite.It actually has a slight flavor and is wonderful...
My Husband says the Phillipinos make the best rice....(from his Navy days)

I guess Indian is asian like everyone else said but I really like Basmati rice and jasmine as well.
I'd go
Indian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese.
That's just for rice, the food to go along with it would be
Thai, Mexican,Chinese,Indian,Japanese.

I knew a beautiful Hispanic woman in the Bronx ,who made a good rice and beans meal.Overall I would have to say the Hispanics cause they eat it with everything.If you make it that often you at somepoint have to perfect it.

Best as in taste? texture? color? All of the rices people have listed here are delicious so I suggest to try them all and see what suits you. What one person may like, another may not.

Mexican- red rice
African- brown rice
Asian- fried rice

dont know but Jasmine rice is pretty good. I get it at Asian take outs and stores.
