Is there a way to keep the Myspace IM window from opening every time I get new mail, etc?

I heard that people go to Start > Run > msconfig > Startup and uncheck Myspace IM, but there's nothing there that says Myspace IM!!

What else can I do?

Yeah, go to your settings / prefrences and turn off updates
