I've often pondered this question myself. I don't think there would be such an outpouring of support as there was with New York. Especially if it took place in Hollywood.

Of course - but the damn place is so spread out they never would have hit anything.

Would have taken a hundred planes that would have gotten lost in the smog and bogged down in traffic on the 510 or 91.

(Think about this: The reaction to Pearl Harbor was even stronger than the reaction to 9/11, and Hawaii wasn't even a state at the time.)

There probably isn't quite as good a symbolic target that would have produced as many casualties, as the WTC, but, yes, of course people would have cared.

I guarantee you the Hollywood crowd would be Pro war and Pro military. They wouldn't be making all these anti-american and anti-war films like they are now.
