Writings of a person with a mental handicap?

Are there any existing and easily-accessed pieces written by a person (preferably somewhat well-known) with a mental handicap, especially diary entries/journal logs? If so, where can I find them? (websites + books + magazines)

Oh Wow. My daughter has Autism and we are in the process of writing her story. Even though she did not have a mental handicap, rather a physical on you can try Helen Keller. These may help.
