It was my birthday, plus, we had recently received our wedding DVD. I asked all of our immediate family (both mine and my husbands) to come over for b-day cake. Told them they all had to come to watch the DVD! Since it was my b-day no one was really suspicious. During cake we watched our wedding DVD. Immediately after, my husband stood up to turn it off and said.... I want to read you something, but you have to keep quite and let me finish.

Everyone thought he was going to say another set of vows, thank everyone for all their help with the wedding, give me a birthday gift etc.

Then he read:

I do not have a face to see,
to put inside this frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss;
I don't yet have a name.

You can't hold my tiny hands,
nor whisper in my ear.
It's still too soon to sing a song,
or cuddle me so near.

But all will change coming in June,
when they say I'm due.
I'm the newest member of your family,
I can't wait till I meet you.

All I ask between now and then
is your patience while I grow.
I promise I'll be worth the wait,
because of all the love we'll know.

I cannot wait to be a part
of this wonderful family!

Everyone started to cry, hug, congratulate, etc! My mom said she knew on line 2! It was amazing! I am so thrilled that we will have such a wonderful story to share with our child!

My mother suspected I was pregnant when I was expecting my son. I was so nervous telling her. My parents were pleased but did ask if we were getting married before the baby was born. (we did when I was 5months in a little registry office ceremony but he turned out to be a wife beater and we later divorced) Mine was not planned but I was still excited about it. My ex's parents had exactly the same reaction - were we getting married. This was their 4th grandchild though. Mother's know these things and it is the thought that your parents will know you have had sex that makes you feel like a naughty girl.

Leave a positive pregnancy test in the bathroom if you're not comfortable telling them directly. If they don't get the message then you have to tell them...sooner the better. This is ofcourse if you're still a minor.

If you're happily married and want to surprise your parents give them a wrapped positive pregnancy test and they will be surprised.

I was embarrased, because I had a faint line so I had my mom read it. She was FURIOUS (I'm 17) and went to walgreens and brough 3 other ones. All positive, she was disappointed because I had always been her "smart, going to do something with their life, college scholarship" kid, but after her best friend Became a grandmom, my mom started to get excited. once we found out it was a girl, she was even more, and everyday gets more and more excited, she even has her hand basically attachted to my stomach when i try to go to sleep at night.

well first of all i wouldnt go home cuz im a teen and they would trip out hardcore, yea it is hard to tell your parents because your at a young age and they would be in shock and wouldnt kno what to tell you.But i know if that was me they would beat me at first lol and then kick me out the house!!
so if that was me i wouldnt go home and the only way they would find out is by other people that would know!!

but if your parents are different than mine, than just straight up and tell them!

Just tell them I know it's easier said then done, but you can't really beat around the bush. Just let them know that you are and there isn't anything anyone can do to change the fact that you are. They might be upset but they will get over it with time.

I think that you should surprise them like for example, ask them if they could visit to eat and then you tell them,"I'm having a baby!" and see how things work out. That is all of what you do.

I hope you liked my answer. Bye!

Well if it is not going to be a problem then take your parents to dinner and tell them then., if it is going to be a situation that is going to be hard then maybe have someone there with you when you tell them... for support!!!! GOOD LUCK

'Mom, Dad, I'm having a baby' simple as that. No tricks, no mind games, just sit them down and tell them as an adult. Cause now you have to be.
